{Christmas 2017}

This Christmas was unique in many ways for the Reynolds family.  I enjoyed the way we celebrated this year and felt good about our efforts to keep the holiday centered on the celebration of Christ and his birth.

"We rejoice in the birth of the Son of God among men.
We are grateful for the atoning sacrifice He worked out by the shedding of His own blood.
We are thankful that He has redeemed us from death and opened the door so that we may gain eternal life.
We pray for peace on earth, for the spread of the gospel, and for the final triumph of truth.
We plead with our Father's children everywhere to join with us in doing those things which will give us all peace in this world and eternal glory in the world to come."
President Joseph Fielding Smith

Christmas Eve was one of the sweetest nights ...  It was snowing a little bit and we drove around a followed a map called "Dakota Lights and Lanes" where we saw all the Christmas lights and displays people put out.  Driving around with the family as it got dark, listening to Christmas songs and drinking hot chocolate was so nice!

The kids were very excited the next morning to see their new toys and we spent all day inside playing with them (I rocked that red onesie all day long!)  Our gift to each other was our upcoming family vacation that took place in January.

I am grateful for these simple Christmas memories!
