{Lola Belle's Blessing}

This past month we were able to travel up to Utah to celebrate Independence Day with the family!  The highlight of the event was sweet Lola Belle Colvin's blessing, given by her Grandpa Mike.

Lola is Wesley's closest cousin in age (they are only about a month apart!).  She is quick to smile and has such a mellow personality.  Here was the first time the cousins met -

Aren't they just the sweetest!  Wesley makes Lola look like a little shrimp though (he is tall like Daddy; Lola will be happy later in life that she's not THAT tall!)

The blessing was beautiful.  It was the third of July, so the congregation sang 'The Star Spangled Banner' - which is always one of my favorite parts of celebrating the 4th!  We don't often get to hear the 2nd and 3rd verses of that song and they are so beautiful.  The Spirit was strong while we sang!

There was a nice testimony meeting afterwards.  When the meeting was done the family gathered for a few pictures -

Here are some shots of the family before the blessing began -

Our little pew was packed!

We all went to Grandma and Grandpa's for a delicious lunch to finish off the celebration

Here are some of my favorite little people

 Jana making her bomb shrimp salad and Dad preparing delicious ribs and chicken!

Mike is smiling because he had to buy church socks since he forgot to pack his - in this picture he is realizing his church socks are Auburn colors.  Oops.

Uncle Grant

The kids like to play in Grandma's basement - which is unfinished, so it makes for a great roller skating rink!

Calvin has so many family members who love him!  It is so fun to be surrounded by them.

Molly is learning piano!  She gave us a little performance of what she has been working on.  I LOVE this picture of her.

Enjoying Molly's song!

  1. What a tender entry into your journal blog. To see these precious babies so fresh from Fathelr in Heaven is indeed a boost to the eyes of these old grandparents. Lovely photography of a very happy occasion ! 📸💕
