Having a newborn for the Halloween holiday has been so much fun. I am sure it will be even better when he is cognizant of his surroundings and can realize the excitement all around him ... however, I am finding that everything in life is just a tiny bit sweeter with my sweet boy!
We didn't go overboard by any means for the holiday this year... but we did have a few fun celebrations.
A week ago we went with the Vidrines to a pumpkin patch! Calvin loved it so much he slept the entire time. Haha! Avery enjoyed it just a tad bit more. : D
A very sleepy Woody and Jessie!
Avery with her bucket of carrots to feed the horses.
Nate & Avery enjoying the hayride which broke down half way through.
The realistic picture of how Calvin spent most the evening... in his carrier. That thing is so handy!
So many pumpkins!
On the 30th we went to the Acacia ward trunk-or-treat. It was pretty fun! I participated in a dessert competition (never found out who won- apparently it wasn't me- haha!) and we decorated our trunk and gave out candies. Calvin was part of our trunk decorations. The most memorable costume was to some weirdo with a sombrero, a paper cut out of Obama taped to his face & a wooden dagger. He went around telling everyone his costume was "chocolate justice." What the?!?
It was a fun night getting to know some of the members of our ward and showcase our spooky little guy!
