Here's to more sunsets in paradise :)

This week I got married!! Woo hoo!

Mike and I asked Bishop Zakimi to marry us on Sunday - and it just so happened that he was available that Friday!  It was awesome.  Just like when Mike proposed in San Diego - the rain stopped just long enough for us to have the ceremony.  We were married at our church, which has an awesome looking courtyard in the middle.

Sister Zakimi made us the leis, which were a fun tradition to add to our wedding as well. :)

Sharing our first kiss as husband and wife... well... were about to..
Bishop Zakimi and his wonderful wife!

This couple is AWESOME. Brother and Sister Hovey witnessed for us, and then invited us to a party at their house after the wedding!  We got to eat some delicious barbecue and met a couple more people in the ward too, so that was fun.

Ring exchange!

In the Bishop's office signing all the paperwork and making everything official.  Bishop and his wife have been married for 29 years and they had fun reminiscing back to the day that they were married.

After we signed everything we went to the Hovey's place and they gave us dinner.  It was fun getting to know them and I'm sure we'll have plenty more opportunities to hang out with them!

After dinner we went to our 5 star hotel - the Waikiki Edition.  It was SO AWESOME.  It had this kind of Euro trendy vibe to it that was cool.  So nice.  The first night there we got room service and it was delicious.  I've never had yummier ice cream in my entire life... I don't know what they did to it but mmmm boy. SO good!

The next morning we went on a Submarine Tour.  We took a tender out to a submarine called the "Atlantis."

We're going under... Trying to make fish faces!!

I love him.

On our way back to the Hotel.. motel.. holiday inn... :)

Some beautiful scenery near the hotel where we were staying.

After exploring a little, Mike surprised me with an awesome Sunset Dinner Cruise.  It was so romantic... we ate in a five star restaurant and got to meet the captain.  We were sitting next to a couple who had just gotten engaged, and on the other side of us was a couple who'd been married for a year and were celebrating their first anniversary and then there was us - the newlyweds - so all ends of the spectrum were covered!  After watching a beautiful sunset and eating a delicious meal, there was a jazz singer there to serenade us and we shared our first dance as a married couple. :)  It was so great!

Boarding the Honolulu Star - this was Captain Mike!

Fun dancers on deck to greet us...

Ready to eat our seven course meal.. soooo yummy!

Here's to more sunsets in paradise!
